Virtual Cardiac Patient

Virtual Cardiac Patient is much more than a course about heart sounds. It's an dynamic, interactive learning tool. Students are presented with 28 heart sound lessons. For each lesson the student can:

• Listen
• Observe the phonocardiogram
• Enable or disable an EKG
• Enable or disable a pressure tracing
• Use Cardiac Help to read descriptions of the sound and abnormality
• Observe a cardiac animation depicting the underlying physiology
• Freeze the dynamic waveforms for study of sound details
• Use the Interval Control to add/remove heart sound components
• Validate comprehension using the integrated Quiz
