Aortic Regurgitation (Decrescendo Diastolic Murmur) 82 - Auscultation Lesson

Here is an example of a decrescendo murmur beginning in early diastole. The first and second heart sounds are normal. The decrescendo murmur is high-pitched. The anatomy video shows an enlarged left ventricle with normal contractility. You can see regurgitant flow from the aorta into the left ventricle which causes the murmur.
